WYOMING RAISED NFR BRONC RIDER
Born and raised in the rugged country of northwestern Wyoming, Brody Wells developed a love for horses, the outdoors, and rodeo at a young age. He started riding saddle broncs at 16, learning the fundamentals at rodeo schools in Meeteetse, Kaycee, Miles City, and the Cody Nite Rodeo. His natural talent and drive quickly stood out, earning him a rodeo scholarship to Clarendon College in Texas, where he completed an associate’s degree in Animal Science. He later transferred to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, to study Business Administration. In 2022, during his senior year at Tarleton, Brody purchased his PRCA rookie card and began competing full-time in professional rodeo.

ABOUT
When he’s not on the rodeo trail, Brody can be found in the mountains surrounding his hometown of Powell, Wyoming. He is deeply passionate about the outdoors and spends his falls guiding and outfitting hunters through the wild country near Yellowstone National Park, pursuing elk, deer, mountain lions, and bighorn sheep. His love of horsemanship extends beyond rodeo—he enjoys starting colts and putting young horses to work in branding pens, day work, packing, and backcountry hunts. Life in the mountains keeps him grounded in his western roots, while his time on the road challenges him to push the limits of his sport.

Brody’s accomplishments reflect his steady rise in the sport. In 2024, he qualified for his first National Finals Rodeo, finishing 10th in the world standings, winning Rounds 2 and 5, and placing in five of the ten rounds. That same season, he claimed major titles in Salt Lake City, Rapid City’s PRCA Xtreme Broncs, the Sisters Rodeo, and the Colorado Stampede. He also earned a win at the Brad Gjermundson Extreme Broncs in 2023, and in his rookie year of 2022 captured both the Mountain States Circuit Saddle Bronc and Average Championships. His college career included helping Clarendon College secure the 2021 Men’s Team Championship, Tarleton State win the 2022 Men’s Team Championship, and earning the title of 2022 Southwest Region Champion Saddle Bronc Rider.
